June is here and your clients are probably heading to the beach or simply spending more time outdoors - which can make it tricky to reach or engage with them. And let’s be honest, the same might apply to you, especially if summer tends to be your slower season (it definitely is mine).

So, what can you do to keep your small business visible without burning out? This article shares five simple marketing tweaks to help you stay consistent and ahead of the game with smart planning and automation - no laptop marathons required.

#1 Schedule Smarter, Not Harder

  • Batch 4–6 posts and schedule for the month.

  • Use scheduling tools like:

    • Meta Business Suite for Facebook and Instagram

    • Canva for content planning and scheduling

PRO TIP: Pick 2 themes and rotate them weekly

When you're short on time (hello, summer!), creating content from scratch every day or even every week can be overwhelming. A simple solution? Choose just two core themes for the month and build all your content around them. This helps you stay consistent and focused without reinventing the wheel.

#2 Reuse What's Already Working

  • Take a top-performing blog or post and give it a new life.

  • Examples:

    • Turn a blog post into a carousel.

    • Turn a quote into a reel.

    • Turn email into a social media post.

Bonus: use AI to reword or summarize it into multiple formats.

#3 Use a Lead Magnet to Keep the Funnel Alive

  • Promote one lead magnet all month - everywhere!

    • Create a short automated email campaign sequence to keep the leads warm.

    • Pin it to your Instagram feed and/or website banner.

    • Refresh headline or CTA to match “summer” mindset.

This keeps your funnel active while you relax.

#4 Send One Smart Email

  • Make it light, useful and clickable - don't try to sell, offer value in form of content.

  • Examples:

    • Summer Survival Tips for Small Biz Owners” or “What I’m Automating This Month” (now you know what I might be preparing 😉)

  • Invite reply or feedback for extra engagement.

  • Link your lead magnet in the email.

  • Automate a resend to non-openers after a few days.

#5 Talk To Your Future Self

  • You may be in flip-flop mode now, but autumn is coming.

    • Start planning a soft September ramp-up

    • Create a “back to biz” offer or content plan outline now

  • Use my free content calendar template to create high level plan now!

Your future self will thank you in September.
